Technical Project Manager (Embedded)

As a Technical PM you will be responsible for;Lead embedded product development projects from concept, design, validation, and production release.Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, resource plans, and risk mitigation strategies.Track project progress, identify potential roadblocks, and drive corrective actions to ensure successful project execution.Coordinate activities across hardware, software, mechanical, PCB layout, component engineering, production test, and certification teams.Facilitate Agile development processes and ensure alignment between engineering teams and business objectives.Work closely with Quality, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Production Test, and external suppliers to support successful product launches.Manage project communications, status reporting, and stakeholder expectations at all levels of the organization.Coordinate and oversee work performed by external vendors, contractors, and offshore development partners as needed.Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on enhancing product development processes and execution efficiency.Participate in stage-gate reviews and ensure project readiness for key development milestones.Qualifications;Bachelor’s degree preferred in computer science or equivalent.Minimum 6 years of project or program management experiencePMP/ PMI-ACP/ CSM certification desiredExperience in establishing and/or optimizing product developmentExperience taking embedded products from concept through to productionExperience coordinating with teams using the agile development methodologyExperience developing detailed project plans consisting of the following: detailed schedules, budget, risk/risk mitigation, staffing allocation and planningExperience planning and coordinating projects with cross functional teams (quality, supply chain, production, production test, offshore board houses)Experience managing external & offshore contractors desiredFamiliar with ISO development processes/procedures desiredFamiliar with working with a gate model development environment a plusFamiliar with the development activities/processes required by the following disciplines: hardware, software, mechanical, layout, component engineering, production test and certification Salary Range: $95K-$130KThe actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment and will not be discriminated against on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, age, genetic information, or pregnancy.Please beware of job seeker scams and see this important notice on our careers page for more information about our recruiting process.Compliance Notice: Alten USA is a federal contractor subject to the requirements of the Vietnam Era Veterans’ Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA) and Executive Order 11246.
