Hybrid$100k–$193k/yrFull-time

About the role

Join Ford’s Marketing, Sales & Service organization and help advance the company’s reputation as a visionary vehicle and mobility services provider. As a Technical Project Manager in our Ecommerce space, you will orchestrate delivery of critical business initiatives that directly impact customer experiences. Projects may include improvements to core elements of our online shopping experiences—pricing, incentives, promotions, lease and financing options—as well as cross-enterprise special projects involving multiple partners. You will lead multi-functional teams through the full project lifecycle, from Discovery to Delivery, using Agile and SAFe practices to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

Based in Dearborn, MI, this is a hybrid position requiring a four-day onsite presence each week.

Responsibilities

  • Agile & SAFe Leadership: Prepare, facilitate, and lead all Agile/SAFe ceremonies (Daily Stand-Ups, Iteration Planning, PI Planning, Backlog Grooming, Retrospectives, and Scrum of Scrums) to align platform work with broader program objectives.
  • Project & Portfolio Management: Manage a small portfolio of eCommerce projects from Discovery to Delivery. Create detailed project plans, track milestones, assess overall product health, and deliver status reports/executive presentations detailing risks, blockers, and dependencies.
  • Backlog & Requirement Refinement: Collaborate with Product Owners, Principal Engineers, and development teams to translate platform capabilities (tooling, pipelines, infrastructure, security) into clear, testable requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Coordinate across internal teams (such as Ford Credit) and external stakeholders/vendors to define release content, manage dependencies, avoid duplicated efforts, and enable shared platform adoption.
  • Delivery Quality & Best Practices: Partner with engineering leads to promote "Definition of Done," automated testing, CI/CD, and robust security/reliability requirements. Use GitHub workflows and delivery metrics to continuously evaluate and improve quality.
  • Tooling & Reporting Administration: Act as the Jira/Rally and Confluence administrator for the portfolio—driving data integrity, maintaining user access, and generating dashboards/views to support leadership reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Computer Science, Information Systems, Systems Programming, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
  • 6+ years of IT experience, including 3+ years managing eCommerce (Cloud or On-Prem) or technical software delivery projects.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Technical Product/Project Manager, Product Owner, or SRE/Platform-focused role, with a strong understanding of modern delivery practices (CI/CD, trunk-based development, automated testing, observability, and infrastructure-as-code).
  • Exceptional facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with both technical engineers and non-technical global stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
  • 2+ years of experience working in Agile/SAFe environments (ARTs, PIs, Epics, Features, and Stories).
  • 2+ years of experience with Jira (or similar) for backlog management, reporting, and administration, alongside experience with GitHub (or similar) for source control and release workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree.
  • Google Cloud Digital Leader and/or SAFe Agilist certifications.
  • Background in automotive, eCommerce services, or similarly regulated industries.
  • Specific experience within eCommerce Pricing, Promotions, Finance, or Incentives.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and core platform capabilities (logging, monitoring, APIs, and developer portals).
  • Understanding of reliability and performance metrics (SLIs/SLOs, error budgets, and incident management).

Benefits

  • Immediate medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug coverage.
  • Flexible family care days, paid parental leave, new parent ramp-up programs, and subsidized back-up childcare.
  • Family building benefits including adoption and surrogacy expense reimbursement, and fertility treatments.
  • Vehicle discount program for employees and family members, and management leases.
  • Tuition assistance.
  • Established and active employee resource groups.
  • Paid time off for individual and team community service.
  • A generous schedule of paid holidays, including the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day.
  • Paid time off and the option to purchase additional vacation time.

Pay

This position is a salary grade of 7 or 8 and ranges from $99,600 to $192,900. Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility, and competitive market value.
