Technical Project Manager
About the role
The Technical Project Manager will coordinate with cross-functional teams to define and execute the scope of work required to qualify new or modified products to customer specifications. This includes managing source changes, manufacturing batches of material, writing test panel fabrication instructions, reviewing testing progress, maintaining traceability, authoring engineering test reports, and interfacing with customers and internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with cross-functional Change Management team to define the scope of work required to qualify new or modified products to customer specifications.
- Translate customer expectations into technical tasks for product qualification.
- Place orders for required materials and ensure process control documents are in place.
- Witness manufacturing runs and coordinate with ISC, Operations, and Engineering.
- Write test panel fabrication instructions for laminates, sandwich panels, or other material forms needed for testing.
- Review testing progress and update expected completion dates.
- Elevate any issues of priority to management for resolution.
- Maintain complete traceability of all elements of a qualification project.
- Author complex engineering test reports.
- Interface with customers and internal stakeholders to provide status updates, resolve conflicts, and facilitate report reviews.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field from a four-year college or university.
- 2-3 years related experience within manufacturing and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Familiarity with material specifications and their applications; ideal previous experience/knowledge of polymers within aerospace manufacturing.
- Working knowledge of PC’s and related software, specifically MS Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, and statistical software (Minitab).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Experience in project management and ability to maintain a high level of attention to detail required.
- Strong time management skills.

- U.S. citizen, U.S. national, person lawfully admitted for permanent residence, temporary resident under sections 210(a) or 245(A) of the Immigration and Nationality Act, person admitted in refugee status, or person granted asylum.
