Job Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver projects using Agile, Hybrid, or Waterfall methodologies, ensuring alignment with PMO standards and delivery frameworks.
- Facilitate definition of project scope, goals, and deliverables aligned to business outcomes and value realization.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define prioritized backlogs, resource requirements, and delivery roadmaps.
- Develop and maintain dynamic project plans, including sprint plans and delivery roadmaps.
- Lead cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment, driving accountability without direct authority.
- Manage financial forecasting, budget tracking, resource capacity, and value realization metrics.
- Optimize resource allocation across projects to align with portfolio priorities.
- Develop and manage iterative timelines, sprint cycles, and milestone delivery.
- Maintain high delivery standards by setting clear acceptance criteria, coordinating quality assurance, and practicing ongoing improvement.
- Manage vendor relationships, including SLA performance, contract deliverables, and escalation management.
- Deliver executive-level reporting and dashboards including KPIs, RAG status, risks, and forecasts.
- Maintain real-time portfolio visibility using dashboards and PPM tools to support governance and decision-making.
- Drive continuous improvement, Agile maturity, and adoption of PMO best practices.
- Identify and manage risks, dependencies, and enterprise impacts across projects.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- PMP or equivalent certification preferred; Agile certifications (PMI-ACP, CSM, SAFe) strongly preferred
- Knowledge of ITIL v4, Agile frameworks, and hybrid delivery models
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills leveraging metrics and reporting
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders without direct authority
- Strong executive communication and presentation skills, translating technical concepts into business value
- Broad technical understanding of enterprise systems, cloud platforms, security, and SaaS implementations
- Demonstrated ability to drive innovation, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Strong stakeholder management across business, IT, vendors, and executive leadership
- Able to deliver under pressure while maintaining governance, quality, and stakeholder alignment
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Teams, Planner, SharePoint, Power Automate) and modern PPM tools (Smartsheet, Jira, Azure DevOps)
- Experience with portfolio management tools and real-time dashboard reporting
- Experience delivering enterprise-scale IT initiatives, including cloud, SaaS, infrastructure, application, or systems implementation projects
- Experience supporting or delivering legal technology initiatives is preferred
Education
The position requires a Bachelor’s Degree. Equivalent training and experience may substitute for education.
Experience
The position requires a minimum of five years of direct project management experience, preferably within an enterprise technology or professional services environment. At least three years of experience leading cross functional technology projects involving business stakeholders, IT teams, vendors, and executive sponsors.
Pay Range
$120,000 - $180,000 - Chicago and Washington DC
$132,000 - $190,000 - NY
