Technical Project Manager

About the role

An Information Technology (IT) project manager plans, leads, and delivers technology initiatives like software rollouts, infrastructure upgrades, or system integrations on time and within budget. Please note, this role is not able to offer visa transfer or sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Define project scope, goals, deliverables, timelines, and milestones.
• Estimate costs, forecast expenses, and manage the project budget.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, assign tasks, and track performance.
• Identify potential roadblocks and build mitigation plans.
• Share progress reports with stakeholders, clients, and company leaders.
• Proficiency in Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall frameworks.
• PMP (Project Management Professional) or Agile/Scrum Master certifications.
• Experience with Jira, MS Project, or Confluence.

Qualifications

• PMP (Project Management Professional) or Agile/Scrum Master certifications – Expert proficiency, 8 years of experience.
• Jira, MS Project, or Confluence – Expert proficiency, 5 years of experience.

Pay

The annual salary for this position is between $80,000 to $99,000 yearly depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
