Responsibilities

  • Take prioritization direction from product owners and translate strategic priorities into detailed product specifications and delivery plans.
  • Collaborate with engineering leadership to break down requirements into technical user stories, identify and manage resources including third-party contractors, ensuring clear and actionable tasks for development teams.
  • Manage delivery expectations in terms of quality and timelines, ensuring projects remain on-time, on-budget, and deliver expected results.
  • Act as a liaison between business units and IT teams to ensure alignment and understanding of project objectives, maintaining ongoing communication with stakeholders through every step of the project.
  • Prepare and deliver detailed project status reports to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Provide comprehensive project reporting and communications to project teams and stakeholders through consistent standards and reporting tools.
  • Identify issues and risks promptly, lead in developing and implementing mitigation plans, and manage escalations.
  • Participate in conversations with the Product team and stakeholders to gather feedback on delivered solutions and ensure continuous improvement.
  • Utilize influence and negotiation skills to drive projects, clear roadblocks, and resolve conflicts.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Product Development, IT, and key business areas for successful project implementation.
  • Develop and maintain risk management frameworks, conducting regular risk assessments and updates.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying lessons learned and implementing changes to enhance future project delivery.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience formally leading projects within a cross-functional environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certifications are a plus.
  • Strong experience working within the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) Waterfall and Iterative models.
  • Strong project management skills in a service- or product-based industry.
  • Understanding and familiarity with Agile Methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
  • Proficient in the use of project management software such as MS Project, and development tools such as Azure DevOps.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering moderate to complex projects and/or programs from inception to delivery.
  • Experience providing a service to internal stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes.
