Overview

Omega Technical Services is seeking a highly motivated Technical Project Manager 4 to support ongoing operations in Los Alamos. This position is hybrid with remote and onsite work required. The technical project manager (TPM) manages and ensures the timely completion of discrete technical or operational projects; establishes technical requirements for the project; defines project deliverables, budgets, and schedules; and oversees the project team in the planning, tracking, and execution of the project from initiation to completion.

Responsibilities

• Manage and ensure the timely completion of discrete technical or operational projects.
• Establish technical requirements for the project; define project deliverables, budgets, and schedules.
• Oversee the project team in the planning, tracking, and execution of the project from initiation to completion.
• Produce specific products or provide services to meet customer’s requirements for Line-Item Projects Project Controls program.
• Develop or maintain processes to meet specific programmatic needs and produce the work products defined by the hiring manager.
• Perform cost analysis/control and planning and scheduling activities for projects or programs with significant non-routine requirements.
• Provide innovative solutions to cost and schedule guidance for projects and programs.
• Ensure work is completed as scheduled and identify cost trends for management attention.
• Support project scheduling using Primavera P6, including data quality checks, integration tasks, and schedule analysis.
• Support project cost management using Cobra and EVMS processes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across technical and business domains to align solutions with project objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 12 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• U.S. Citizen.
• Satisfactory results of a pre-employment screening, which includes a drug and breath alcohol test, along with a Motor Vehicle Record check.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Security Clearance.

Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency in Excel, Primavera P6, and Cobra.
• Demonstrated initiative and independence—able to take a concept from idea to delivered product without heavy direction.
• Strong communication skills across both technical and business contexts.
• Experience in project controls within DOE/NNSA.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a continuous-improvement mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

• Possession of an active DOE/DoD clearance within the past two (2) years.
• Previous DOE/NNSA work experience.
• Knowledge of LANL Project Controls procedures, policies, and processes, and DOE O 413.3B EVMS requirements.
