About the Role
For our client, we are seeking a Technical Program/project Manager (capital Equipment) to join the team of a leader in the Manufacturing & Automotive space. This role will lead technical initiatives focused on scalable systems, platform reliability, and meaningful business transformation. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a manufacturing environment.
Location & Compensation
Location: Milpitas, CA - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $205,800 – $360,200 annually
Responsibilities
- Lead multi-disciplinary development programs focused on optics, sensors, and data acquisition
- Manage the product lifecycle from business case proofing to design, development, and continuous improvement
- Assess and manage engineering technical risks, implementing mitigation strategies
- Support prototyping and problem-solving in product development and vendor engagement
- Collaborate with CTO and Supply Chain to maintain relationships with critical suppliers
- Ensure program objectives are met on schedule and within budget constraints
- Directly engage with customers alongside Marketing & Sales teams to drive adoption of product features
Qualifications
- 10+ years of engineering experience in a technical program manager role with technical and business development responsibilities
- Subject matter expertise in advanced sensors, optics, or sources, with a system-level understanding of component technologies
- Proven track record of delivering products, driving program schedules, and optimizing costs and pricing
- Experience in semiconductor manufacturing and successfully leading multidisciplinary teams in capital equipment products is advantageous
- Strong technical leadership, strategic thinking, and effective communication skills, particularly with C-level executives
