About the role
As a Technical Lead in the Network Delivery Implementation (NDI) organization, you will play a pivotal role in driving the successful and scalable deployment of Google’s large-scale networking solutions within North America.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of Network Implementation Engineers responsible for network build, operations, and maintenance across metros and data centers, ensuring seamless project execution and resource optimization.
- Lead the team in identifying, defining, and managing interdependencies across multiple projects.
- Oversee and direct the handling of complex change request escalations.
- Provide expert technical leadership and guidance to your team, leveraging a deep understanding of network architecture.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of network implementation engineers.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning, technical excellence, and accountability.
- Conduct performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and support career growth.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within NDI processes. Identify opportunities for automation, efficiency gains, and cost reduction in network delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in program management.
- 8 years of experience in infrastructure.
- 5 years of experience in leadership role with direct reports.
Preferred qualifications
- 10 years of experience in telecommunications or Hyperscale Infrastructure, with 5 years in experience in engineering leadership.
- Extensive experience with large-scale data center operations and network build-outs.
- Deep understanding of networking technologies: IP/MPLS, optical transport, data center networking, wireless technologies, and large-scale network architectures.
- Ability to lead geographically dispersed technical teams and experience in a continuous improvement leadership role, ideally with a focus on lean methodologies.
- Ability to build and maintain strategic relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent executive-level communication and presentation skills. Ability to translate broad business objectives and technical challenges into action.

US: $192000 - $279000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits
