About the role

As a Technical Lead in the Network Delivery Implementation (NDI) organization, you will play a pivotal role in driving the successful and scalable deployment of Google’s large-scale networking solutions within North America.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Network Implementation Engineers responsible for network build, operations, and maintenance across metros and data centers, ensuring seamless project execution and resource optimization.
  • Lead the team in identifying, defining, and managing interdependencies across multiple projects.
  • Oversee and direct the handling of complex change request escalations.
  • Provide expert technical leadership and guidance to your team, leveraging a deep understanding of network architecture.
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of network implementation engineers.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, technical excellence, and accountability.
  • Conduct performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and support career growth.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within NDI processes. Identify opportunities for automation, efficiency gains, and cost reduction in network delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in program management.
  • 8 years of experience in infrastructure.
  • 5 years of experience in leadership role with direct reports.

Preferred qualifications

  • 10 years of experience in telecommunications or Hyperscale Infrastructure, with 5 years in experience in engineering leadership.
  • Extensive experience with large-scale data center operations and network build-outs.
  • Deep understanding of networking technologies: IP/MPLS, optical transport, data center networking, wireless technologies, and large-scale network architectures.
  • Ability to lead geographically dispersed technical teams and experience in a continuous improvement leadership role, ideally with a focus on lean methodologies.
  • Ability to build and maintain strategic relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent executive-level communication and presentation skills. Ability to translate broad business objectives and technical challenges into action.

Benefits

US: $192000 - $279000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits
