As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.
Responsibilities
- Lead complex projects by working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage schedules, identify risks, and communicate with cross-functional partners. Analyze usage trends and partner with engineers to estimate and acquire resources for feature launches while adhering to financial objectives.
- Act as process owner for internal TPU allocations, working with executive engineering leadership to ensure our TPUs are deployed in alignment with YouTube's key priorities. Triage resource-requests to fund new launches, system migrations, and infrastructure projects while maintaining appropriate supply buffers.
- Become a subject-matter-expert and consultant on technical and financial trade-offs in data-center resource management.
- Partner with YouTube Resource Management engineering to design and build tooling to help scale the planning process.
- Ideate efficiency opportunities to scale resources sublinear to demand growth and efficiency opportunities/ideas to reduce growth.
Qualifications
- Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience. 5 years of experience in program management. Experience working with data analytics tools and reporting platforms. Experience building, automating, and developing distributed systems from ideation to deployment.
- Preferred qualifications: 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects. Experience in resource management process and tools. Experience in data center infrastructure resource planning and cost of resources. Experience with Machine Learning infrastructure.
Pay
US: $163000 - $237000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
