About the role

A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

  • Enable the collection of critical path process metrics from Tech Optimization and Platform Solutions (TOPS) managed systems.
  • Aid in the development and implementation of a horizontal customer engagement process to efficiently triage, prioritize, and route feedback from TOPS stakeholders and system users.
  • Support the establishment of a GDC process and systems architecture framework to enable strategic prioritization and decision-making related to process re-engineering and system development programs.
  • Provide technical program management support for GDC operational domains (e.g., data center operations, CSRM) as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience managing the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Experience with data analytics and process.

Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience in technical program management, managing all phases of a project and leading daily activities.
  • 3 years of program management experience redefining the process, designing business solutions through lean project management.
  • 2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Knowledge of data centers, cloud operations, facilities management, engineering and construction.
  • Ability to work with engineering for product implementation to deliver business tools and systems.

Skills

  • Technical expertise in project management and software development.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with data analytics and process improvement.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
