About the role
The ML, Systems, & Cloud AI (MSCA) organization at Google designs, implements, and manages the hardware, software, machine learning, and systems infrastructure for all Google services (Search, YouTube, etc.) and Google Cloud. Our end users are Googlers, Cloud customers and the billions of people who use Google services around the world. We prioritize security, efficiency, and reliability across everything we do - from developing our latest TPUs to running a global network, while driving towards shaping the future of hyperscale computing.
Responsibilities
- Independently manage complex, NPI networking programs.
- Ability to manage hardware, software, and networking deployments across cross-functional stakeholders with high degree of independence.
- Navigate ambiguity to define and drive cross-functional programs in large, complex work groups, typically upwards of dozens of team members and stakeholders that span multiple teams/organizations and/or PAs.
- Set project/program success criteria, create measurable milestones, track deliverables and deliver customer value incrementally.
- Measure, analyze and optimize constantly to improve velocity, quality and efficiency of projects.
- Communicate widely and transparently. Keep stakeholders appraised of progress through periodic updates and checkpoints such as engineering reviews.
- Leverage deep technical expertise to drive critical decision-making, guide technical proposals, and build consensus across diverse cross-functional stakeholders.
- Lead project delivery, conduct technology reviews, and translate rigorous quantitative analysis into clear, actionable recommendations and strategic plans.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in program management.
- Experience leading network infrastructure projects as an engineer or technical program manager making technical contributions to programs.
- Experience managing software integration programs or direct integration engineering.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
- Experience in full-stack development.
- Ability to synthesize material for audiences via executive communications, presentations, dashboards, and documentation.
- Experience with one or more of the following: produced development for hardware and software systems (preferably experience with Networking solutions; but not mandatory).
- Experience with network fabric solutions (including design, deployment, sustaining) and launching data center solutions.
Pay
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $163,000-$237,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.
