About the role
The Data Center Incidents and Availability (DCIA) Team maximizes post facility ready (FR) uptime by identifying risk proactively and preventing incidents before they happen, developing global standardized programs to provide all operational personnel the capability to reduce the impact of infrastructure events, delivering high-quality postmortems to minimize the chance of incident recurrence, and measuring performance and producing high-quality reports.
Responsibilities
- Manage and evolve the global critical work process program and policy, ensuring alignment across all equipment domains including Electrical, Mechanical, and Controls.
- Field and prioritize program bugs, driving the development of tools and processes that optimize critical work execution.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive training curricula, including instructor-led materials and Learning Management System (LMS) modules.
- Cookordinate and manage regional trainers to deliver training sessions to the global fleet, ensuring consistent adoption of program standards.
- Translate critical operation event trends and Data Center Facility Availability data into measurable reporting, scalable action items and policy updates to prevent incident recurrence.
- Consult with site teams during postmortem creation and Bug/Business Review Board closeout to investigate and properly assess operational errors and root causes.
- Review final postmortem documentation and key event root cause coding for accuracy.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in program management.
- Experience in critical data center operations or mission critical experience.
- Experience in human performance improvement.
Preferred qualifications
- 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
- Experience managing global programs and policy development within a technical environment.
- Proven track record of designing and delivering technical training programs to large audiences.
- Able to travel 30% of the time.
- Public speaking skills and enthusiasm for teaching/leading multi-day training events.
Benefits
Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. US: $163000 - $236000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
