About the role

Data Center Central Operations is responsible for keeping these sites operating efficiently and safely. This role will provide the technical expertise and tactical site-specific support for innovation and continuous improvements to information security (e.g., PLCs, electrical switchgear and mechanical heavy equipment).

Responsibilities

  • Own information security programs for industrial equipment and facility assets within LATAM, while leading one or more OT security workstreams globally.
  • Develop and drive program implementation, long-term strategy, cross-site execution, and resource prioritization for information security efforts across Google’s fleet of Data Centers in partnership with global engineering and regional teams.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to define/measure security postures, establish new business processes to proactively address weaknesses, and drive continuous improvements.
  • Guide and optimize complex operational technology security programs to drive consistency, efficiency, and economies of scale across multiple teams, measuring success by direct impact on product area-level OKRs.
  • Leverage control system insights and experience to influence and inform stakeholders across DC Central Operations, DC Software, and site-specific teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience working on day-to-day site operations within industrial facilities (e.g., power plants, oil refineries, utilities, automotive or manufacturing).
  • Experience leading cyber security or technical programs.

Qualifications

  • Direct experience working in an operational control room or plant environment (e.g., manufacturing, utility/power generation, data center operations, or heavy industrial operations).
  • Direct experience with cybersecurity initiatives, threat assessments, vulnerability management, or incident response within an industrial control systems (ICS) or Operational Technology (OT) environment.
  • Experience with data analytics, SQL, dashboarding, or status reporting tools to track program metrics and communicate progress to leadership.

Benefits

US: $163000 - $236000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
