About the role

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company.
Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and deliver large-scale, complex technical programs from initiation through completion, often starting with ambiguous requirements.
- Define program scope, objectives, key results, and deliverables in partnership with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Product Management, UX, and SRE.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive program plans, schedules, risk registers, and resource forecasts.
- Drive alignment and foster collaboration across multiple teams and organizations, influencing without direct authority to achieve program goals.
- Communicate program status, progress, risks, and key metrics clearly and concisely to stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership, through presentations, reports, and other means.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in program management.
- Experience with data center infrastructure (e.g. data center power and cooling systems, machine learning hardware).
- Experience with SQL scripting and data analytics.
Preferred qualifications
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- 7 years of experience in technical program management, with a focus on data center infrastructure (power and cooling systems), ML hardware, data management systems.
- 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
- Experience influencing and leading cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication, and strong presentation skills, capable of tailoring communication to different audiences.
- Excellent investigative, problem-solving, organizational, and strategic thinking skills.
Benefits
Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. US: $163000 - $236000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
