As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.
Responsibilities
- Be able to program manage the delivery of network infrastructure projects involving long haul dark fiber, metro fiber, leased capacity/circuits, and inside plant fiber from inception through delivery.
- Understand partner team dependencies, constraints, designs and forecasting mechanisms that impact the business by engaging early and often, collaborating on process improvements and communication.
- Work with partner teams to ensure project priorities are aligned, resources are secured and logistics is on point with material storage and delivery.
- Participate & contribute to business reviews providing global deployment & capacity updates.
- Provide health reports highlighting wins, risk, and upcoming demands. Document patterns, spikes, lesson learned & proactively improve deployment times.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience in program management.
- Experience in network delivery or deployment.
- Experience with network capacity planning for data center operations.
Preferred qualifications
- 2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
- Strong experience in metrics, reporting, dashboards and AI skills.
- Experience with data networking architectures, network capacity planning, physical network components, and optical networking, equipment, and infrastructure.
- Experience working in the telecommunications industry within metropolitan/long haul fiber network delivery and ISP/OSP construction.
- Familiarity with supply chain and logistics concepts.
Pay
US: $138000 - $198000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
