About the role

A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

As a Google Chat Technical Program Manager driving Chat Agent Quality, you will join the organization to help build out the Chat infrastructure that will improve Chat Agentic Quality. This includes transforming evaluation infrastructure, processing user feedback at scale, driving reliability and scalability efforts as Chat grows, and supporting latency initiatives. You are responsible for a large portfolio of infrastructure and the direction of client and backend services that keep Google Chat running reliably, performant, and scalable, while enabling developers to work with high velocity and good experience.

You will collaborate with talented engineering leads to identify gaps and opportunities across infrastructure and drive projects throughout their lifecycle. You will manage project schedules, identify risks, communicate goals to stakeholders, and improve processes. Partnering with other mission teams in Chat, you will drive cross-mission and cross-product collaborations.

In Google Chat, all technical program managers will work on transforming Chat with Agentic Features, delivering delight to users, and advancing Chat operations and AI transformations. AI will change the future of work in profound ways, and our products—Gmail, Docs, Drive, Calendar, Sheets, Vids, and Meet—are at the forefront. From pre-computed summaries for email threads to AI-generated meeting summaries and videos created from documents using lifelike AI avatars, our AI opportunity is huge. Our mission is to meaningfully connect people so they can create, build, and grow together. As part of the team, you can help shape how productivity tools should work 5-10 years into the future. You will work with model builders (Google DeepMind), collaborate with exceptional leaders, and have the ability to impact billions of users worldwide.
