Technical Program Manager
About the Role
Be one of the first 100 employees at Albedo, where you’ll have a significant impact on making Very Low Earth Orbit (VLEO) mainstream. We build buses, integrated satellites, and turnkey missions for customers operating between 250 km - 400 km, leveraging proximity for performance and self-cleaning debris. As part of this team, you’ll advance hardware, scale production, develop next-gen flight and ground software, or enable critical missions for national security and daily life on Earth.

You’ll join a team that has already proven what others deemed unfeasible and is now scaling VLEO buses and payloads for sensing, communications, and responsive operations.
Responsibilities
- Own the execution of projects and programs across the company, measured against Albedo's goals and committed delivery dates.
- Build and maintain the integrated schedule spanning engineering, production, and software: GNC, FSW, GSW, Comms, Systems, Electronics, Optical, Mechanical, Thermal, and Production, with a real critical path and explicit margin.
- Work at the build-schedule depth, not just milestone roll-ups: AI&T flow, production sequencing, resource loading, test-stand and fixture contention, and long-lead procurement. You’ll be in the details with the team doing the work.
- Partner with team leads and systems engineering to translate technical plans into realistic durations and hold the line when those durations are optimistic.
- Identify slips before they occur, run replans, quantify options, and present decisions to the team.
- Own the execution cadence and maintain Linear as the system of record, ensuring health, status, and dependencies are accurate and trusted by leadership.
- Build the program-management practice: cadence, reporting, escalation, and schedule standards for scalability as we add programs and headcount.
- Represent programs to external customers and partners while maintaining internal delivery ownership as the primary focus.
Requirements
- BS in EE, CE, Aero, or ME, or demonstrated equivalent technical fluency.
- 8+ years in program or engineering management for hardware programs, with at least one where you owned the detailed build or AI&T schedule.
- Demonstrated task-level schedule ownership: resource-loaded plans, negotiated durations, and a critical path you can explain.
- Multi-disciplinary integration experience: has run a schedule spanning mechanical, electrical, software, and test, not a single-function plan.
- Hardware production or integration and test exposure: has been on the floor or adjacent to it while something was being built.
- U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, or protected individual status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligibility to obtain required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
- Must be a U.S. Person as defined under 22 CFR 120.62.
CAPM/PMP certification is a plus.

Pay
Salary Range: $167,450 - $180,523. The final compensation package may vary based on experience and company need.
