About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Technical Program Manager in the Advanced Sensors Group to plan, manage, and ensure the technical performance of one or more Research and Development (R&D) programs from conceptualization through completion.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all phases of R&D program(s) at a single location, including acquisition, planning, and technical performance to meet quality, business, and financial objectives.
  • Lead cross-functional technical and matrixed support teams to meet program requirements, applying innovative technology and creative solutions to solve customer challenges.
  • Participate with engineering to establish design concepts, criteria, and efforts for product research, development, testing, and integration.
  • Ensure technical leadership by planning, attracting, selecting, retaining, and developing management, professional, and technical talent.
  • Interact with internal and external stakeholders to resolve technical and scheduling issues.
  • Serve as the primary customer contact for program activities, leading reviews on cost, schedule, and technical performance.
  • Manage the development and security of proprietary technology, maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Develop and implement technical, schedule, quality, business, and financial objectives for the program(s) with technical staff and executive management.
  • Contribute to new and existing business opportunities, including proposal preparation, business plans, budgets, and contract terms.
  • Influence contract acquisitions, negotiations, and modifications.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in engineering, science, or a related technical field, with eleven or more years of progressively complex program administration experience, including at least five years managing programs. Equivalent experience may substitute for education.
  • In-depth technical knowledge of Electronic Warfare (EW), radio communications, networked communication systems, and RF/digital engineering.
  • Knowledge of DoD operations, including operational/tactical use of EW and surveillance systems, intelligence, and information exploitation.
  • System-level technical or operational expertise in advanced sensor system operation and technology development.
  • Proficiency in program management principles, concepts, and practices, including organizing, planning, scheduling, and coordinating workloads to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to develop solutions requiring coordination of technologies across program requirements.
  • Strong communication, leadership, presentation, and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with departments, management, staff, customers, and government representatives.
  • Customer-focused, self-initiated, and team-oriented work style; ability to work extended hours and travel as required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance.

Pay

Salary range: $112,320 – $205,058
