About the role
We are seeking a Technical Product Owner / Business Analyst to join a Cash Equities Technology organization. This role supports Equities Cash and Swaps trading platforms with a focus on Client Connectivity, FIX-based integrations, Order Management, and Global Routing. This is a hands-on delivery position at the intersection of product ownership, business analysis, and technical execution. The successful candidate will work with trading desks, clients, and engineering teams to deliver scalable, client-facing capabilities in a global electronic trading environment.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with trading desks, clients, and engineering teams to deliver scalable capabilities.
- Operate in a hands-on delivery role that combines product ownership, business analysis, and technical execution.
- Leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate requirements discovery, specification quality, and delivery outcomes.
- Support global 24x5 electronic trading environments.
- Focus on client connectivity, FIX-based integrations, order management, and global routing.
Requirements
- 5–10+ years in Product Owner, Business Analyst, or Delivery roles within Capital Markets.
- Proven experience working directly with trading desks (Cash & Swaps), client onboarding, institutional clients, and global technology teams.
Qualifications
Domain Expertise
- Strong knowledge of Cash Equities (high-touch and low-touch) trading workflows, Equity Swaps lifecycle, client connectivity, and FIX-based integrations.
- Expertise in the front-to-back trade flow, including order capture, execution, trade capture, allocation, and settlement.
- Understanding of Global and Smart Order Routing, as well as Electronic and Algorithmic Trading.
Technical Skills
- Deep understanding of the FIX Messaging Protocol (orders, executions, allocations).
- Technical fluency to read and reason about code (Java / C++) at a conceptual level and comfort analyzing logs, data flows, and system behavior.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with OMS / EMS platforms.
- Exposure to market data systems, surveillance, or regulatory reporting.
- Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and SQL for data analysis.
- Experience with AI-assisted analysis and specification tools.
- Strong experience in UAT, functional testing, and FIX certification.
