Job Description
The candidate selected will join the Compliance Technology Operations team within the Global Ethics & Compliance Organization. This team coordinates technology development, compliance requirements, and product enablement. This role is hyper focused on improving existing Compliance applications and third-party integrations, while also exploring new experiences, enabling automation, developing a long-term vision, and partnering cross functionally. As a technical product manager, the individual will serve as a liaison among various teams at Visa, facilitating collaboration between technology, product, and business groups.
- Primary responsibilities include developing features for existing and new platforms, leading integrations with new businesses, and ensuring that AML & Sanctions requirements meet regulatory obligations while supporting business enablement.
Essential Skills
- Define and drive product vision, strategy, and roadmap for AML, Sanctions, Fraud, Transaction Monitoring, Screening (including sanctions/watchlist screening and adverse media), KYC, Client Due Diligence (CDD), and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) platforms, aligning compliance technology with business and regulatory priorities
- Lead transformation of Fin Crime systems by enhancing core compliance applications, strengthening third-party integrations, and embedding automation across transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, adverse media analysis, alert generation, case management, and investigation workflows
- Drive cross-functional execution to deliver scalable, future-ready compliance solutions that optimise alert dispositioning, strengthen risk detection, ensure regulatory adherence, and improve end-to-end AML lifecycle efficiency
- Demonstrated ability to align and work towards a clear product vision and long-term roadmap that aligns with business goals. Proven experience in supporting the development and articulation of strategic plans with leaders for new product development initiatives, along with improvement, and innovation at scale.
- Skilled at collaborating across multiple teams including engineering, operations, compliance, product, analytics, and business units to deliver value. The ability to collaborate and drive initiatives in a highly matrixed environment.
- Guide multi-functional teams through strategic and tactical decisions, recognizing dependencies, risks, and solutions.
- Well-versed in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Lean, SAFe, Design Thinking), with hands-on experience managing backlogs (user stories, epics, features), facilitating sprint planning, and utilizing tools such as JIRA and JIRA Align.
- Strong technical background, including experience with planning API/service design and integration, SQL, and data querying (SQL Developer, Postgres SQL), and management of large-scale, data-driven platforms.
- Ability to engage in technical solutioning and brainstorming discussions with architects, engineers, and QA teams, ensuring robust and scalable solutions.
- Ability to translate business requirements into product features and ensure adherence throughout the product lifecycle. Demonstrates strong technical expertise and can turn capabilities into long term product strategies and vision for Technology Teams.
- Advanced skills in data analysis, process mapping, impact/gap/root cause analysis, and supporting stakeholders with complex data requests.
- Experience in extracting actionable insights from large datasets to finalize product decisions and drive enhancements.
- Conduct thorough UAT for client integrations and new features (frontend and backend/API) in pre- and post-production by defining objectives and scope, creating timelines, developing and executing test cases, validating results, tracking defects until resolved, and supporting stakeholders throughout the process.
- Experience in creating detailed wireframes and mockups, collaborating with stakeholders to refine user experience and interface design.
- Enthusiastic about improving user experience, supporting product demos, gathering feedback, and ensuring that solutions meet user needs and compliance standards.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, capable of presenting complex topics to diverse audiences, including leaders, partners, and technical stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective partner management and alignment at all organizational levels.
- Proficiency in rapid assessment and communication of application issues, incident reporting, and coordination with development and operations to resolve incidents and minimize impact.
- Strong organizational abilities to prioritize critical tasks, manage multiple initiatives, and coordinate deliverables across global teams and different time zones.
- Partnering with operations and analytics to develop platform health metrics, monitor performance, and drive data-driven decision making.
- Proactive, self-driven, and solutions-oriented—capable of thriving in fast-paced, ambiguous, and evolving environments while driving progress and innovation.
- Commitment to staying current with industry trends, technology advancements, and best practices in product management, compliance, and payments.
Qualifications
- Basic Qualifications: 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD
- PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a bachelor’s degree or at least 6 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g., Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or a minimum of 2 years of work experience with a PhD.
- Experience with Compliance systems and strong analytical skills.
- Understanding of payment processing and Visa Net/payment ecosystem a plus.
- Candidates with experience in Compliance, Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Sanction Screening and end-to-end Case/Alert Management are preferred.
- Demonstrated experience with Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning solutions is considered a significant asset, highlighting the ability to innovate and enhance business processes through advanced technologies.
- A strong understanding of ISO 8583 and ISO 20022 standards is highly desirable, reflecting proficiency in industry protocols necessary for secure and efficient financial messaging and transactions.
- Support Product leadership by skillfully conducting user demonstrations, providing clear insights into product capabilities while ensuring clients’ needs and feedback are effectively addressed.
- Prepare and help deliver comprehensive status reports to monitor progress across multiple concurrent workstreams, facilitating transparent communication and strategic decision-making.

The estimated salary range for this position is $116,300.00 to $ 186,000.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
