Technical Product Manager - Accounting, Aladdin Accounting
About the role
At BlackRock, we are looking for a Technical Product Manager to join the Aladdin Accounting Platform team in New York. This role sits at the intersection of investment accounting, technology delivery, and client partnership, and will play a meaningful role in expanding Aladdin Accounting's reach, capabilities, and impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Aladdin and Accounting production teams to deliver and scale accounting technology solutions
- Own or contribute to initiatives that expand the platform to new client segments, use cases, and regions
- Support or lead teams of subject matter experts delivering against defined business objectives
- Maintain clear, transparent communication with stakeholders on project status, risks, and outcomes
- Apply a data-driven approach to monitor platform usage, operational metrics, and client outcomes
- Identify opportunities for automation, process optimization, and product improvement
- Analyze complex accounting data across asset classes (e.g., securities, derivatives, mortgages, alternatives) and partner with stakeholders to resolve client challenges
- Clearly explain accounting concepts and calculations to internal partners and external clients
- Configure client accounting setups, including system elections, ledgers, and reporting structures
- Leverage AI tooling to deliver future-proof technology
- Stay ahead of industry, regulatory, and technology trends to help shape future platform capabilities
Desired Qualifications
- 4–9+ years of experience in financial services, fund accounting, or investment operations
- AI/ML expertise in daily product work
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize in a dynamic environment
- Strong foundation in investment accounting processes and standards (STAT, TAX, US or International GAAPs and/or IFRS)
- Experience working with accounting platforms or investment technology
- Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent designation preferred
- Experience with reconciliations, ledgers, income analysis, accounting elections, and reporting
- Full professional proficiency in written and spoken English
- Working knowledge of SQL, UNIX shell, or modern programming languages is a plus
- Familiarity with product development and software delivery lifecycles is a plus
- Big 4 Accounting experience is a plus
