Technical Operations Project Manager

VTG is seeking a Technical Operations Project Manager to lead the delivery of mission‑critical initiatives supporting National Security customers. This role is based in the National Capital Region and is 100% onsite.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and execution of technical projects across cross‑functional teams.
• Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables in coordination with stakeholders.
• Manage schedules, risks, dependencies, and resource allocation.
• Track progress using appropriate tools, metrics, and reporting frameworks.
• Coordinate internal staff and external partners to support successful delivery.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and issues proactively.
• Manage changes to scope, schedule, and cost using structured change‑control practices.
• Prepare and present status updates to leadership and customer stakeholders.
• Maintain strong relationships across government and contractor teams.
• Develop and maintain project documentation, plans, and briefings.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
• Minimum of 12 years of experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree (experience may count in lieu of degree).
• Ability to travel up to 35% (CONUS travel).
• Experience managing technical or mission‑focused projects in government or national security environments.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate multi‑disciplinary technical teams.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and client‑facing communication skills.
• Experience managing schedules, risks, and deliverables across concurrent efforts.
