Technical Operations & Compliance Analyst
About the role
At its core, this person helps keep work around our technology, customers, operations, security, and compliance organized and moving forward. The role connects internal teams with customers, vendors, auditors, and other external partners, bringing clarity, communication, and follow-through to complicated work.
A big part of this role is connecting people, processes, and technology and making sure important work does not fall through the cracks. This person coordinates technical and operational requests, compliance activities, recurring processes, documentation, and follow-up across teams and external partners.
Deep technical expertise is not required. The right person is comfortable learning how systems and processes work, asking good questions, and translating between technical and nontechnical audiences. They are not expected to personally solve every technical problem. They make sure the need is understood, the right people are involved, and the work continues moving toward resolution.
Responsibilities
- Keep work moving: Organize operational and technology-related work, clarify ownership and next steps, track outstanding items, and recognize when something needs to be escalated.
- Connect people and teams: Serve as a liaison between Technology, Operations, customers, vendors, auditors, and other stakeholders. Clarify needs, document decisions, communicate next steps, and bring in Product or Engineering when deeper technical expertise or new solution development is needed.
- Coordinate compliance and security: Coordinate audits, evidence collection, documentation, remediation tracking, policy maintenance, security awareness activities, disaster recovery coordination, and other recurring compliance or security processes.
- Create clarity and visibility: Maintain useful documentation and reporting that provides visibility into technical operations, compliance activities, recurring issues, risks, and follow-up items.
- Improve how we work: Identify practical ways to make recurring work clearer, more consistent, and more efficient through better processes, documentation, standardization, or automation.
Qualifications
There isn't one specific career path we're looking for. You might come from IT, audit or compliance, project management, operations, business analysis, or another role where you have learned to bring organization and clarity to complicated work.
You do not need to know every technology or security framework Daycos uses. You do need to be comfortable learning technical concepts and working with both technical and nontechnical people.
We are looking for someone who:
- Is highly organized and consistently follows through
- Communicates clearly and professionally with internal and external stakeholders
- Can coordinate work involving multiple people, teams, priorities, and deadlines
- Can take something complicated and create clarity around it
- Notices when work is stalled and takes initiative to determine what is needed next
- Is curious, asks good questions, and is comfortable learning technology
- Looks for ways to improve processes rather than simply following them
