About the role
The successful applicant will work in a cooperative and flexible team environment; be able to self-manage workload and work with limited supervision; have a high level of attention to detail; undertake self-driven learning in solar phenomena and on-the-job training in complex analysis and operation of the solar telescopes; and participate in a minimum of two (2) solar observations shifts per week, commencing about 30 minutes before sunrise or concluding about 20 minutes after sunset.
Responsibilities

- Participate in a minimum of two (2) solar observations shifts per week
Requirements
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Assist in liaising with internal and external stakeholders, including maintaining diplomatic relations with a foreign military to a high standard
- Apply, as necessary, the principles and practices of the various elements of the Bureau's Diversity and Inclusion Statement of Commitment
Qualifications
- Experience with electronics and/or radio systems would be highly regarded
