Job Summary
The Director of Data & Analytics at Jackpot.com is responsible for driving data-driven decision-making across the organization. Reporting to the Chief Data Officer, this role will lead a team focused on analytics, data engineering, and advanced data science initiatives.
About the Role
As the Director of Data & Analytics, you will be instrumental in shaping the company's data strategy and ensuring that data insights inform all aspects of the business. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement data-driven solutions that enhance operational efficiency and drive growth.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive data strategy aligned with the company’s strategic goals
- Lead a team of data scientists, engineers, and analysts to deliver high-quality data products and insights
- Collaborate with product managers, marketers, and other stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into actionable data strategies
- Implement advanced analytics techniques such as causal inference, A/B testing, and machine learning models to drive business outcomes
- Ensure data quality and integrity through robust data pipelines and governance practices
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data analytics and data engineering
- Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership and provide regular updates on project progress
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in data analytics, data engineering, or a related field
- Proven track record of leading data-driven initiatives and delivering measurable results
- Experience with data warehousing technologies like Fivetran and Airflow
- Strong understanding of statistical methods, machine learning, and data visualization tools
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in a relevant field preferred
- Experience with Python and other programming languages used in data science
- Knowledge of data privacy regulations and compliance requirements
