Technical Lead - Full Stack (Java + React)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Java Lead to lead the design, development, and delivery of enterprise-grade applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java, React 18, JavaScript, REST APIs, SQL Server, and modern software engineering practices, along with the ability to provide technical leadership in a fast-paced delivery environment. The Java Lead will work closely with architects, developers, QA engineers, product teams, and other stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and high-quality solutions within aggressive timelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise applications using Java and modern application architecture patterns.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership and guidance to development teams.
• Develop responsive and scalable user interfaces using React, with React 18 experience strongly preferred/required.
• Develop and maintain high-quality JavaScript applications and reusable front-end components.
• Design, develop, integrate, and consume RESTful APIs.
• Analyze technical requirements and translate them into scalable and maintainable technical solutions.
• Review existing applications and codebases, identify improvement opportunities, and implement enhancements.
• Apply strong object-oriented programming, software engineering, and application architecture principles.
• Work with SQL Server and relational databases, including writing and optimizing SQL queries.
• Participate in code reviews, debugging, performance tuning, testing, and production deployment activities.
• Establish and promote coding standards, design best practices, and development methodologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot complex technical issues and deliver solutions.
• Mentor developers and contribute to the continuous improvement of the engineering team.
• Ensure solutions meet functional, technical, security, performance, and quality requirements.
• Effectively manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality solutions within aggressive project timelines.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional software development experience, with strong hands-on experience in Java.
• Strong hands-on experience developing enterprise applications using Java.
• Strong hands-on experience with React, with specific experience in React 18 strongly preferred/required.
• Strong JavaScript development experience.
• Solid experience developing and consuming REST APIs.
• Strong understanding of:

• Strong experience working with SQL Server and relational databases.
• Experience with modern software development, testing, debugging, CI/CD, and deployment practices.
