About the role
This position provides technical leadership and expertise in environmental compliance and risk management across the organization. As a subject matter expert on environmental regulations, you will partner with business units to develop, implement, and maintain programs ensuring compliance while supporting operational objectives. The role is corporate-based, working across business groups to establish environmental standards, provide technical guidance, and drive consistent implementation of environmental programs.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain environmental programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to operations and business leaders regarding environmental requirements, permitting, monitoring, reporting, and risk management activities.
- Serve as the internal subject matter expert (SME) for waste management (RCRA), spill planning (SPCC/FRP, EAP, EPCRA), and stormwater pollution prevention (SWP3) requirements.
- Monitor regulatory changes, communicate impacts to the business, and recommend solutions and best practices to maintain compliance.
- Support environmental compliance through audits, inspections, monitoring activities, investigations, and corrective action planning.
- Manage environmental recordkeeping, reporting, permits, certifications, and regulatory submissions.
- Partner with field locations to support pollution prevention, waste minimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead environmental projects and initiatives, providing coaching, mentoring, and technical direction to colleagues and business partners.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- 6+ years of environmental compliance, environmental management, or related EHS experience.
