Technical Infrastructure Program Manager, Data Center Planning Delivery
About the role
An experienced Technical Infrastructure Program Manager to oversee data center build projects in Atlanta, GA or Charlotte, NC (alternate locations of Herndon, VA and Seattle, WA). Lead cross-functional and technical teams from conceptual design feasibility through requirements, budget, completed design, implementation, testing, and deployment. Use judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence without authority, analytical talent, technical aptitude, and leadership to collaborate with diverse stakeholders across multiple time zones, manage capital budgets, eliminate non-value-add activity, design solutions, remove blockers, and find creative ways to accelerate project delivery.
Key job responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional and technical teams from conceptual design feasibility through requirements, budget, completed design, implementation, testing, and deployment
- Manage stakeholder relationships to influence and deliver highly challenging schedules
- Proactively solve complex problems during program execution
- Apply project management tools, methodologies and techniques for all phases of the project lifecycle
- Demonstrate core project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, resources, quality and risk management, reporting and metric development/tracking
- Collaborate with diverse set of stakeholders across multiple time zones
- Manage capital budgets
- Eliminate non-value-add activity
- Design solutions, remove blockers, and find creative ways to accelerate project delivery
Requirements
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Not hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities
- Capable of understanding mechanical/electrical engineering concepts
- Experience managing large-scale projects highly desired
- Experience managing construction projects and/or data center installation projects particularly beneficial
- Experience with MS Office, MS Project and MS SharePoint
- Experience with Tableau, KanBan, Playbook, SQL and systems integration a plus
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of technical infrastructure management experience
- Knowledge of best practices and emerging technologies related to infrastructure (i.e. network, data center, hardware, software)
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree or advanced professional certifications in management of complex, high value technology infrastructure projects
