Responsibilities

  • Follow Mitsubishi Power and site safety requirements at all times.
  • Execute assigned commissioning tasks for turbine and auxiliary systems under the direction of the commissioning lead or senior engineer.
  • Support startup, operation, and troubleshooting of large frame gas and steam turbines.
  • Interpret machine process diagrams and function diagrams related to gas and steam turbines.
  • Inspect turbines and auxiliary plant equipment and report findings.
  • Provide operator training prior to commercial operation.
  • Apply thermodynamic principles relevant to combined cycle power plants.
  • Complete documentation, certificates, and drawings for site turnover.
  • Oversee installation and sing of assigned systems.
  • Report non-conformance issues and interface with design engineering teams.
  • Maintain required skills training log as directed by senior engineers.
  • Participate in company-sponsored training programs.
  • Communicate effectively with staff and leadership while upholding confidentiality and integrity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline and 2–5 years of experience in power generation construction.
  • Knowledge of power systems, energy conversion, and heat engine design.
  • English fluency required; Spanish, Portuguese, or Japanese beneficial.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for evaluating machine and data-related issues.
  • Proficiency with office software packages and analytical tools.
  • Ability to meet physical requirements including standing, walking, climbing ladders, and lifting 25–50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in loud environments, at heights, in confined spaces, and in extreme weather as required.
