Responsibilities
- Follow Mitsubishi Power and site safety requirements at all times.
- Execute assigned commissioning tasks for turbine and auxiliary systems under the direction of the commissioning lead or senior engineer.
- Support startup, operation, and troubleshooting of large frame gas and steam turbines.
- Interpret machine process diagrams and function diagrams related to gas and steam turbines.
- Inspect turbines and auxiliary plant equipment and report findings.
- Provide operator training prior to commercial operation.
- Apply thermodynamic principles relevant to combined cycle power plants.
- Complete documentation, certificates, and drawings for site turnover.
- Oversee installation and sing of assigned systems.
- Report non-conformance issues and interface with design engineering teams.
- Maintain required skills training log as directed by senior engineers.
- Participate in company-sponsored training programs.
- Communicate effectively with staff and leadership while upholding confidentiality and integrity.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline and 2–5 years of experience in power generation construction.
- Knowledge of power systems, energy conversion, and heat engine design.
- English fluency required; Spanish, Portuguese, or Japanese beneficial.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for evaluating machine and data-related issues.
- Proficiency with office software packages and analytical tools.
- Ability to meet physical requirements including standing, walking, climbing ladders, and lifting 25–50 pounds.
- Ability to work in loud environments, at heights, in confined spaces, and in extreme weather as required.
