Description Of Job Duties/Responsibilities
Provides Tier 4 Lustre support to the HPC team, delivering advanced storage architecture, configuration, tuning, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Installation, configuration, tuning, troubleshooting, and administration of: Virtualization platforms (VMware, Xen, Solaris containers).
- Cloud/data storage implementations (Hadoop, IBM BigInsights).
- Linux/UNIX storage support (RedHat, SUSE, Solaris - file service and Fibre Channel connectivity).
- Storage architecture experience.
- Platforms and appliances (SGI IRIX, SGI systems, NetApp clusters and storage appliances).
- Clustered file systems (GPFS and Lustre).
- FC networking (Brocade Fibre Channel switch fabrics).
- Enterprise storage arrays and SSD.
- NAS protocols/appliances (NFS/CIFS-based server/storage appliances).
- Storage tools (HPSE, Data Domain and similar deduplication products).
- Incident and ticket management (Remedy).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field and ten (10) years of demonstrable experience (fifteen (15) years without degree) in support of a large client-server-based IT enterprise.
- DoD 8570 IAT II level certification required.
Required Clearances
- TS/SCI with polygraph.
Pay
The Technical Expert/Functional Expert – Storage (Government) earns between $89,200 - $217,170 yearly.
