Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical design and architecture discussions for application development and integration projects.
- Provide guidance on best practices and coding standards.
- Ensure alignment with overall IT strategy and business objectives.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand application needs, goals, and challenges.
- Elicit, document, and prioritize functional and technical requirements.
- Analyze requirements to ensure they are clear, feasible, and aligned with business objectives.
- Design and validate robust application architectures that support integration with third-party systems and APIs using tools such as Boomi and direct connections.
- Oversee the implementation of integration solutions, ensuring data integrity and security.
- Design and manage data pipelines to facilitate efficient data flow and processing.
- Implement data transformation processes using tools like FiveTran.
- Utilize Databricks for data engineering tasks, ensuring data quality and accessibility.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data integration and deployment workflows.
- Maintain and optimize data pipeline performance to meet business requirements.
- Lead the development of applications and integration solutions, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
- Clarify requirements to developers during coding and address any ambiguities.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Develop and execute test plans to validate application functionality and integration points.
- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with end-users and gather feedback.
- Ensure that solutions meet business requirements and quality standards.
- Support the deployment of applications and integrations into production environments.
- Aid in change management processes and documentation for end-users.
- Ensure smooth transitions from development to production, minimizing disruptions.
- Gather post-deployment feedback from users and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with technical teams to address any updates or enhancements needed.
- Monitor application performance and user satisfaction, providing insights for future improvements.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in application development and integration, with at least 2 years in a technical lead or architecture role.
- Strong experience with application development frameworks, integration platforms, and APIs.
- Experience with data integration tools such as FiveTran, Boomi, Databricks, and Microsoft BI.
- A minimum of 3 years in transport, logistics, construction, materials handling or related field.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Relevant certifications (e.g. Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect) are a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical information effectively.
