Technical Development Representative
About the role
We are seeking a Technical Development Representative to develop formulations and maintain technical service activities for rigid foams for insulation applications with our Autofroth® business for North America. You will work collaboratively with sales and marketing to provide product development and technical service support to accounts, including new product qualification, responding to technical inquiries, and troubleshooting. Additionally, you will perform lab projects to address new opportunities and product needs in the marketplace, plan and organize projects, and compile results in reports and presentations for customers and internal stakeholders. There is an expectation of up to 50% travel associated with this role.
Responsibilities
- Provide customers with process and formulation support for new and existing products to achieve business targets.
- Work closely with R&D, Manufacturing, Sales, and Marketing to address customer needs in a timely manner and take new product developments to commercialization.
- Commit to workplace health, safety, and exposure reduction programs to ensure the health and safety of all.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or a scientific-related field.
- At least 2 years’ experience in polymers or formulations.
- Ability to work independently with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with SAP and MS Office.
