Technical Designer( Sweaters)

About the role

We are looking for a Mid to Senior Technical Designer to lead the fit process for knits and sweaters from development through TOP. This person will partner closely with design, product development, sourcing, and vendors to ensure fit, construction, and quality align with brand standards while staying on calendar and supporting business goals.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical design process for knits and sweaters across development and production stages
• Create and update technical packages, specs, and construction details
• Lead fittings, evaluate garment balance and fit, and recommend corrections
• Communicate fit comments clearly through written notes, photos, sketches, and measurements
• Review garments for measurement accuracy, construction quality, and overall execution
• Release accurate graded specs and maintain updates throughout the fit process
• Partner with cross-functional teams to protect design intent, timing, cost, and quality
• Work with vendors and factories to support timely sampling and production

Requirements

• 4 to 8 years of experience in technical design
• Strong background in knits and sweaters
• Solid understanding of garment balance, construction, and production methods
• Experience translating sketches into specs and identifying practical fit solutions
• Strong written communication and attention to detail
• Comfort working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
