Technical Designer, National Retail

About the role

The Technical Designer is competent in multiple conventional aspects of architectural practice with an emphasis on the technical implementation of the project design. This role performs work requiring adaptation of standards and criteria to project requirements and possesses a diverse working knowledge of related disciplines to support interdisciplinary coordination.

Responsibilities

• Produces Contract Documents with support and direction from Project Manager and other senior staff.
• Works on roll-out retail and commercial projects.
• Responsible for producing construction documents for permit in Revit.
• Uses proficiency in Revit (latest version), AutoCAD, and other graphic and business software to develop and present design documents.
• Communicates effectively through basic oral and written English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture from an accredited program preferred.
• Basic understanding of architectural design, site planning, design development, and graphic presentation.
• Basic knowledge of construction document production and development.
• Proficiency in Revit (latest version), AutoCAD, and other graphic and business software and their application in developing and presenting design documents.
• Strong oral and written English communication skills.
