Responsibilities

  • Providing technical assistance to child abuse prevention organizations statewide, including needs assessments, strategic planning, facilitation, and leadership coaching
  • Serving as a resource for county teams in implementing Comprehensive Prevention Plans and building strong local networks
  • Developing custom tools, reports, and social media content to share outcomes and resources statewide
  • Facilitating communities of practice and onboarding new team members
  • Building relationships with subject-matter experts and community-based organizations through conferences and events
  • Staying current on emerging trends and supporting special projects and events as needed

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Organizational/Community Development, Social Work, Public Health, Psychology, or related field required
  • Experience coaching and/or collaborating with local and statewide family strengthening organizations
  • Knowledge of child abuse prevention, cross-sector collaboration, family strengthening, and the child welfare system
  • Advanced knowledge of Trauma Informed Care, DEI, and Protective Factors
  • Tribal community member with the ability to provide cultural insights and perspectives to guide partnership efforts with Tribal communities
  • Knowledge of organizational development, collaboration/networking, trauma-informed practice, cultural proficiency, and community resilience strategies
  • Knowledge of child abuse prevention, family strengthening, parent education, and child welfare services
  • Knowledge of California Tribes including current priorities, needs, and historical context

Qualifications

  • Required: Master's degree in Organizational/Community Development, Social Work, Public Health, Psychology, or related field

Skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
