Technical Architect

About the Role

We are seeking a BI/Data Architect with 8-10 years of in-depth, hands-on experience in foundational data architectures, including data warehouses, data modeling, data mining, ETL, and in-memory models. This role involves architecting, designing, developing, and testing data ingestion pipelines, as well as automating ETL processes for datasets ingested into the big data platform.

Responsibilities

• Define strategy for Lakehouse architecture and data ingestion patterns, serving as the foundation for advanced analytics, including AI and machine learning functionalities.
• Perform foundational data analysis activities for the Data Platform.
• Analyze and assess the current landscape of various TJX data platforms and tools.
• Assist in defining a single unified version of data from multiple sources.
• Define strategy for advanced analytics leveraging real-time streaming, data availability at a single place, and accelerated innovation for near real-time analytics.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand Lakehouse needs and deliver solution patterns.
• Work closely with various TJX teams on Lakehouse and other foundational data activities.

Requirements

• 8-10 years of hands-on experience in data architectures such as data warehouses, data modeling, data mining, ETL, and in-memory models.
• Proficient knowledge in modern data architecture supporting advanced analytics, including GCP (Dataproc, Dataflow, Cloud Function, BigQuery, Composer, GKE, IA), Snowflake, and Azure.
• Good understanding of Data Lakehouse setup and Snowflake.
• Knowledge of the Marketing tech stack.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Pay

Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000 a year
