Technical Apprentice - Camlin Energy North America
About the role
Camlin Energy is looking for two Technical Apprentices to join our North American team in Atlanta, Georgia. This two-year Technical Apprenticeship Program is designed for individuals at the beginning of their careers who have the aptitude and ambition to develop into highly skilled technical professionals. The program combines structured mechatronics education with hands-on development through rotations within Camlin Energy’s operations.
Responsibilities
- Undertake structured mechatronics education covering electrical principles, mechanical systems, motors and controls, instrumentation, PLCs, fluid systems, troubleshooting, safety, applied mathematics, and technical communication.
- Participate in structured rotations within Camlin Energy’s North American operations, including:
- Field Services: Installing and commissioning Camlin monitoring equipment at customer sites.
- Technical Support: Diagnosing technical problems, interpreting system information, and supporting customers and field engineers.
- Product Configuration & Testing: Configuring, testing, and preparing monitoring systems at our Atlanta facility.
- Equipment Service & Repair: Troubleshooting, repairing, calibrating, and maintaining equipment.
- Inventory & Operations: Managing parts, equipment, and technical resources to support customers.
- Advanced Field Troubleshooting: Progressing toward complex field diagnosis and remediation.
- Work alongside experienced engineers, technicians, and specialists to build skills progressively.
- Travel frequently within North America for field rotations, typically following a weekly pattern for installations, service, or training assignments.
- Adhere to all required safety procedures in industrial and utility environments.

Qualifications
This program is ideal for individuals starting their technical careers, such as:
- Recent high school graduates interested in engineering or technology.
- Students or recent graduates with some college or technical education.
- Individuals who have completed technical, vocational, STEM, or engineering-related coursework and want hands-on experience.
Previous professional technical experience is not required.

Career Development

While successful completion does not guarantee a specific permanent position, apprentices may be considered for available technical roles in areas such as Field Services, Technical Support, Product Configuration, Service & Repair, or Manufacturing.
Schedule
Full-time, paid apprenticeship with a program length of 2 years. Frequent travel within North America is required, typically following a weekly pattern for field assignments.
