About the Role
This is an on-call position providing technical support for a clinical trial using technology-based delivery of Motivational Interviewing (MI). The intervention is delivered electronically, with data gathered from participants, an independent research lab, and state public health agencies.
The role involves supporting online ads and surveys, participant recruitment, enrollment, and retention, data collection and entry, and maintenance of custom study intervention software (CIAS). This position may also include minor support for other studies or initiatives within the lab.
Responsibilities
- Support online ads and surveys for participant engagement.
- Assist with online participant recruitment, enrollment, and retention.
- Perform data collection and entry from multiple sources.
- Maintain and troubleshoot custom study intervention software (CIAS).
- Collaborate closely with the study Principal Investigator (PI) and coordinator.
- Provide occasional support for other lab studies or initiatives.
- Remotely assist research participants with navigating electronic surveys and apps.
- Manage multiple sources of data and meet project demands flexibly.
Requirements
- Knowledge equivalent to a bachelor’s degree or higher in social sciences, research-related fields, or other relevant disciplines.
- One to three years of progressively responsible experience in analytical and research techniques related to the field of research.
- Familiarity with research-specific software platforms (e.g., Ripple, Qualtrics, CIAS).
- Experience with social media advertising and online recruitment.
- Strong computer technology skills and proficiency in troubleshooting technical issues.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and written/oral communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, track deadlines, and demonstrate initiative.
- Attention to detail and experience managing multiple data sources.
- Familiarity with mobile and online technology.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with CIAS (custom study intervention software).
- Prior involvement in NIH-funded studies.
Work Arrangement
This is an on-call, remote-friendly position. Some or all duties may be performed remotely as mutually agreed upon.
