Responsibilities
Support and promote business unit and sales team goals, initiatives and events as identified by the business unit manager. Establish and maintain relationships with customer base and factory personnel to support requests for proposals, provide technical consultation, and resolve customer issues.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and conducting effective demonstrations/seminars and delivering technical information on products and services
- Assessing customer requirements and developing proposals to provide products and services
- Participating in sales visits with Account Sales team members
- Managing the order management cycle, including planning, entry, status tracking and reporting, expediting, and change management
- Interacting with other teams to optimize performance, identify opportunities for new business, and improve internal work practices
- Providing status reports to Sales and Service Management
- Training incoming employees in work processes
Qualifications
A BS/BA degree is preferred in a discipline that supports a technical knowledge of the business, with knowledge of the sales process, products and services included in the business unit portfolio, and a clear understanding of the architecture and technologies of instrumentation and control systems.
Required experience and skills include:
- 2+ years’ experience in a process or manufacturing facility working in a technical capacity, or 3-5 years in an engineering company with responsibility for automation project design and implementation
- Direct experience in a sales and or customer service oriented work environment
