About the role
The Technical Account Manager, Coatings & Construction supports customers across Southern California. This remote, customer-facing role is ideal for a sales professional who combines strong technical knowledge with business acumen, enjoys building lasting relationships, and is motivated to grow market share for our strategic principals.
Responsibilities
- Serves as the main point of contact for existing core accounts in a designated territory and identifies new targets for growth.
- Conducts frequent planned visits, interacting on a recurrent basis with key customers.
- Provides deep technical support, troubleshoots issues, and guides clients on product implementation, configuration, and best practices.
- Proactively identifies opportunities for clients to gain more value, suggests upgrades, and aligns technology with business objectives.
- Supports sales efforts by highlighting features, driving adoption, and identifying upsell/cross-sell opportunities.
- Acts as a conduit for customer feedback, relaying insights to development teams to improve products.
- Educates clients on effective product usage, often through dedicated training sessions.
- Grows earnings per designated sales goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required with a preferred area of study in Business Administration, Marketing, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related technical degree.
- Minimum 2 years’ sales, technical, lab, customer support, or inside sales experience.
- PREFERRED: Experience selling chemical or technical products, experience with distribution sales, and experience with Salesforce.

Pay
Base salary range: $100,000 - 160,000
