About the role
The Technical Account Manager (TAM) actively drives and manages the post-sales process with Enterprise-level customers, articulating the company’s technology and product positioning to both business and technical users. The TAM identifies all technical and business issues of assigned accounts to ensure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process.
Responsibilities
- Provide product and technical support for assigned accounts
- Identify and develop potential new business opportunities
- Convey customer requirements to Product Management, Marketing, and Engineering teams
- Provide functional and technical support to customers
- Respond to customer questions on technical and business-related issues
- Deliver high-level and detailed sales presentations
- Attend conferences, seminars, and related events
Qualifications
- Self-motivated with strong knowledge in the security and compliance space: Vulnerability Management, Cloud Security, Policy Compliance, Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), Network Scanners, PCI, Policy Compliance and Audit Tools, and other enterprise security solutions
- Knowledge of Federal Regulatory Compliance issues (e.g., ISO 27001, HIPAA, GLBA, Sarbanes-Oxley/SOX) is a plus
- Strong presentation skills and professional communication in emails, RFPs, and reports
- Comfortable interacting at all levels within customer organizations, from C-level to front-line technical staff
- Organized and analytical, with the ability to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches
- 5–7 years of relevant experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Able to travel throughout the sales territory (Midwest/central states)
