Responsibilities

  • Own the ongoing technical relationship through the entire lifecycle of customers in your portfolio, collaborating closely with the Customer Success and wider account teams.
  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor, defining the Braze technology strategy for customers who have purchased the TAM premium service offering and helping them unlock value from the Braze platform.
  • Drive value, retention, and adoption of Braze’s product through the customer lifecycle, acting as the technical counterpart between Braze and your client’s product and engineering teams.
  • Understand customer needs and proactively drive technical initiatives to help them achieve their business goals.
  • Manage a portfolio of named Enterprise and Strategic accounts, addressing unique geographical, scale, and complexity challenges.
  • Partner with the Customer Success Team to own the technical relationship for assigned accounts, driving technical adoption, accelerated value, and continued maturity.
  • Help customers successfully instrument Braze across their stack and refine that instrumentation over time to contribute to renewals and upsells.
  • Facilitate conversations about customers’ desired use cases, conduct discovery, and recommend solutions based on their unique needs and architecture.
  • Support and advocate for day-to-day inquiries to optimize value through the customer lifecycle.
  • Empower customer product and engineering teams to use Braze independently and efficiently through enablement, education, and communication.
  • Adopt governance practices such as creating solutions documentation, building architectural diagrams, and driving progress against key technical work streams through project management.
  • Instill best practices and engineering excellence by validating product use cases, assessing technical feasibility, and translating customer requirements to Braze’s Product team.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of client-facing experience as a Technical Account Manager (TAM) or in a related technical role (e.g., Implementation, Technical Support, or Solutions Architecture) for a product serving Enterprise/Strategic accounts.
  • 3+ years of technical experience managing complex customer environments with strong product command and technical knowledge of two or more of the following: SaaS, Mobile, API, or Programming.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to translate complex technical ideas for non-technical stakeholders.
  • A natural problem solver with a high level of intellectual curiosity and a collaborative mindset.
  • Ability to maintain productivity, manage competing priorities, and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced, complex environment.
  • Bilingual skills beyond English are a plus but not required.

Pay

For candidates based in the United States, the pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $99,450 and $112,500/year, with an expected On Target Earnings (OTE) between $110,500 and $125,000/year (including bonus or commission). Your exact offer may vary depending on market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This role also qualifies for a comprehensive Total Rewards package, including equity grants of restricted stock (RSUs).
