Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned client accounts, building strong relationships and developing a deep understanding of their technical requirements and business objectives
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure timely delivery of products, services, and solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to expand existing accounts through upselling and cross-selling, contributing to revenue growth and market expansion
  • Drive profitable growth within an assigned territory through account development, retention, and new business prospecting
  • Conduct regular customer meetings, presentations, and technical training sessions to enhance engagement and promote product awareness
  • Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and market developments to proactively anticipate customer needs and provide strategic recommendations
  • Manage account activities including pipeline development, forecasting, and reporting to achieve sales targets and objectives
  • Oversee the full sales lifecycle—from order placement through delivery and installation—to coordinate with engineering, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure successful execution
  • Provide technical support and guidance to customers, including troubleshooting and resolution of system issues
  • Establish yourself as a trusted technical expert and go-to resource for customers and internal teams
  • Education and support customers on a range of topics from foundational electrical principles and motor control to advanced SCADA systems, networking, and automation architectures
  • Support and apply a wide range of technologies including PLCs, I/O, HMI, SCADA, drives, motion control, networking, wireless communication, motor control, control panel design, and power distribution

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in technical sales, account management, or related roles within the industrial controls and automation industry
  • Strong technical foundation in process automation technologies and methodologies
  • Proven ability to manage key accounts and drive business growth through relationship management and solution-based selling
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Strategic, customer-focused mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving

Qualifications

  • Solid understanding of electrical fundamentals and principles
  • Bachelor’s degree or technical degree in an engineering-related discipline
  • Experience with leading automation and control manufacturers such as Siemens, Phoenix Contact, Rittal, Rockwell, Banner, Turck, and FESTO
