About the role

This role sits within the Automotive & Data business unit, reporting directly to the Head of Customer Success. As our Technical Account Manager, you will serve as the trusted technical advisor for our automotive and enterprise customers, acting as the primary point of contact for North American accounts while supporting the wider global client base.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary, go-to technical partner for our automotive and enterprise customers, ensuring high-quality support and consultative problem-solving.
  • Manage the end-to-end customer onboarding lifecycle, including evaluations, proof of concepts, and full commercial implementations.
  • Partner with the Business Development team during pre-sales phases to deliver confident technical presentations and act as the subject matter expert on our API and data solutions.
  • Analyze, document, and champion customer technical requirements to guide our internal product roadmap.
  • Proactively monitor data delivery, investigate failure patterns, and leverage automation/scripting to continuously improve operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • You are an inquisitive, analytically minded problem-solver who thrives at the intersection of client relationship management and technical triage.
  • You have 3+ years of experience in technical account management, sales engineering, or a technical client-facing consulting role, ideally within the automotive industry, connected car space, or payment services sectors.
  • You have strong proficiency with web data delivery mechanisms, including a practical understanding of APIs, latency, and tools like Postman to triage errors.
  • You have experience or familiarity with connected vehicle services, mapping/navigation, or payment flows; prior exposure to the Google Automotive Services (GAS) platform is highly advantageous.
  • You are comfortable utilizing modern tools and scripting (such as AI assistants or Google Apps Script) to optimize tasks and automate client-side integration checks.
  • You have exceptional communication and project management skills, with the flexibility to handle multiple client priorities and occasionally travel for key customer sites or industry exhibitions.
