Tech Trainer - Shakopee, MN
Position Overview
The Technical Trainer delivers technical training courses to internal and external customers. Training assignments include instruction on hardware and software products, systems, and solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Course Preparation — 25%
- Assess audience needs and deliver course curriculum that meets user and field service requirements within the product release schedule.
- Research product information through subject matter experts, including engineering, service, and manufacturing teams, as well as hands-on learning.
- Support the development of training materials for operator, administrator, and maintenance courses.
Course Delivery — 75%
- Congduct training classes using approved curriculum, department policies, and established procedures.
- Engage participants through an effective mix of instructional methods, including classroom presentations, skills practice, web conferencing, and multimedia self-study.
- Conduct follow-up evaluations to measure the effectiveness of course materials and training delivery.
Basic Qualifications
Associate degree in a technical discipline or a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
1 or more years of experience delivering technical training courses.
Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and Word.
1 or more years of experience working with internal and external customers and managing projects.
Strong understanding of software principles and techniques.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
Ability to travel, including some international travel.
Unrestricted work authorization in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in education, computer science, or a related field.
Experience with or knowledge of the card personalization industry.
Experience supporting Entrust products and solutions.
Experience developing multimedia training materials.
Multilingual capability.

Compensation Range
The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $76,126-$111,651 per year (in the primary posting location). Actual compensation will be determined based on geographic location, education, skills and experience. This position is also eligible for the company’s discretionary annual incentive plan.
