About the Role
A Radiologic Technologist responsible for performing x-ray procedures and completing all related documentation.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with preparation for x-ray exams.
- Capture and develop x-ray images using proper techniques, positioning, and shielding.
- Process, critique, and ensure timely delivery of films to radiologists.
- Complete paperwork, including charge slips and logs, and notify healthcare providers of abnormalities.
- Perform clerical tasks such as scheduling and supply management.
- Ensure equipment functionality and proper film release procedures.
- Protect patient privacy and adhere to safety standards, including radiation safety protocols.
- Assist physicians with contrast media and sterile procedures, and perform first aid if needed.
- Maintain sterile techniques, cleanliness, and stock supplies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
- At least 12 months of experience.
- Current CRT certification; ARRT and BLS preferred.
- California Fluoroscopy license required for fluoroscopy duties.
Skills
- Knowledge of radiologic procedures, equipment, and safety standards.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and patient care skills.
