Tech Lead

Key Responsibilities

• Lead one or more projects from inception to release and support, managing a team of 5 or more members.
• Apply only if you’re passionate about programming and ready to lead your teammates while actively coding.
• Oversee all phases of the software project development lifecycle: discovery, requirement gathering and analysis, solutioning and architecture, design and implementation, release, and support.
• Plan and execute project delivery milestones, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
• Independently manage multiple projects post-release, including feature enhancements, troubleshooting, and critical (P1) bug fixes.
• Design and architect solutions considering concurrency, responsiveness, data integrity, data consistency, performance, and security.
• Interact with various internal and external stakeholders, to effectively handle all types of communications, related to business requirements, solutioning, planning and delivery.
• Conduct data analysis to identify patterns and incorporate findings into solutions.
• Integrate internal and external systems using various strategies such as API-driven, event-driven, and batch integrations.
• Perform data migration activities with appropriate data validation and reconciliation.
• Generate required documentation at various stages, including architecture diagrams, design diagrams, database/object models, process flows, and post-release documentation.
• Learn and adopt new technologies, tools, frameworks, and programming languages as needed.
• Implement business process automations for real-time business events, scheduled batch processing, and UI-driven workflow automations.
• Maintain strong development practices and methodologies, including design patterns, data modeling principles, unit testing, clean code, SOLID/CUPID principles, and continuous refactoring.
• Proficiently use two or more programming languages for backend services, such as C#, Java, or others.
• Communicate effectively at different levels of abstraction based on the target audience.
• Nurture and mentor team members.

Must-have Requirements

• Must have led a team of 5+ members for the last 3 or more years.
• Must have led and delivered multiple software projects of medium to high scale and complexity.
• Must have led at least one greenfield project, i.e. developed and released a project from scratch.
• Must have worked on all phases of the software development lifecycle, from inception and requirements gathering to solutioning, architecture, design and development, and finally software deployment, release and support.
• Proven track record of effectively handling communications with various stakeholders, both internal and external.
• Strong hold on cultivating and implementing various development practices like CI/CD, Unit Testing, Integration Testing, Clean Code and Continuous Refactoring.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Strong design and architectural skills, including data and object modeling.
• Experience in implementing business process automations and various system integrations.
• Proficiency in data analysis and data migration activities.
• Strong documentation skills to effectively describe solution, architecture and design, as well as being able to generate other documentation artifacts through various stages of software development life cycle.
• Able to quickly learn and adopt new technologies and tools.
• Proficiency in two or more backend programming languages.
• Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL database technologies.
• Experience in mentoring and nurturing team members.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies and front-end development tools.
