Responsibilities
- Adhere to all Quality standard operating procedures (SOPs) and processes.
- Perform routine QC testing on raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods.
- Report quality and process abnormalities to manager and lead investigations as needed.
- Perform all quality control and quality assurance tests and procedures in a precise, accurate and efficient manner, following safety standards and protocols for safe handling of materials.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and instrumentation, including hands-on instrument troubleshooting & repair.
- Maintain QC logbooks, compile and interpret data.
- Develop and author SOPs.
- Generate Certificates of Analysis (COAs).
- Maintain exemplary laboratory hygiene in terms of safety and SHE compliance.
- Act as a leader and example for the company’s Behavioral Standards, focusing on Safety, Integrity, Inclusion, Performance, Community, and Innovation.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- Associate degree in chemistry or a related major. Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Soil Science, Agronomy, Chemical Engineering or related field is preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in a laboratory; equivalent degree may be considered in lieu of lab experience.
- Knowledge of Chemistry and Mathematics.
- Extensive experience with MS Office.
- Experience with SAP QM Modules, LIMs is preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively with peers and management.
- Ability to work independently.
Pay
The salary range for this role in Biola, CA is between $21.00 - $34.00. Several factors are taken into consideration when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, candidate skill set, experience and training, licensure and certifications, work location, and other business and organizational needs.
