About the role
The Al Finance Senior is a crucial role responsible for supporting the Finance Applications Data Lead in executing the overall data management strategy for finance applications. The successful candidate will leverage their deep expertise in finance applications (planning, reporting, close/consolidation) coupled with deep skills in enterprise data management, data governance, data quality, master data management, Machine Learning, and Generative Al (Gen Al) to support key finance personas.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement our EY Al Finance service offering, with the goal of creating an industry agnostic data model which can be utilized as a starting point and be extended to ensure data consistency and interoperability across finance applications.
- Work closely with the Data Lead and the Product Owner for the EY Al Finance solution to ensure that the EY Al Finance Blueprint is designed on a foundation of accurate, consistent, and reliable finance application data architecture, enabling informed decision-making.
- Engage with business stakeholders to evaluate business models, processes, and operations. Gather, understand, and analyze business requirements, translating them into technical specifications.
- Provide in-depth analysis related to implementation, customization, and optimization of specific technology platforms.
- Collaborate with finance, IT, and data science teams to support the effective management and utilization of finance application data, harnessing the power of Machine Learning, Gen Al, and Azure data technologies to drive innovation and business value through the development and implementation of the EY Al Finance solution offering.
- Bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions by spending time engaging with clients, analyzing their requirements, and collaborating with technical teams to design and deliver effective system architecture solutions.
Requirements
The successful candidate should have:
- A bachelor's degree and approximately three years of related work experience; or a graduate degree in the same and approximately two years of related work experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in data management, with at least 1 year focused on finance application data, data modeling, financial modeling.
- A strong understanding of data management principles, including data governance, data quality, and master data management.
- Experience with Machine Learning techniques, Gen Al technologies, and Azure data services (e.g., Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse Analytics, MS SQL, Python).
- Knowledge of finance applications including financial modeling (PnL, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
- Proficiency in data integration, data transformation, and data modeling tools and techniques.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, supporting the adoption and implementation of emerging technologies.
Qualifications
To qualify for the role, you must have:
- A degree in Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field with relevant experience in the finance data management including data modeling and ML.

- Define data requirements, data architecture, and data models for finance applications, considering the potential of Machine Learning and Gen Al technologies.
- Lead the design and implementation of an extensible common information model for the FDL Blueprint.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including data dictionaries, entity-relationship diagrams, and data lineage maps.
- Lead the development and implementation of our FDL Blueprint solution offering, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
- Collaborate with data scientists and finance SMR's across service lines to identify opportunities for applying Machine Learning and Gen Al techniques to finance applications/personas and extend the FDL.
- Support the establishment and maintenance of a robust data governance framework for the FDL.
- Stay current with the latest advancements in Machine Learning, Gen Al, Data Management and Azure technologies and identify and implement innovative solutions that drive efficiency, accuracy, and insights for finance applications.
Benefits
Base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $102,500 to $187,900. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $122,900 to $213,400. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography.
Pay

Schedule
Regular travel may be required to meet with clients and participate in project activities.
